Summer Grilling with Kroger

Summer Grilling with Kroger

My latest bzzkit has arrived!! This time it was from kroger and was all about summer grilling. I received vouchers to cash in for (1) 2-3 lb bag of slider burgers, 1 bag kroger chips, 1 bag of slider buns, (1) 12 pack of kroger soda, and several coupons for .40cents off chips, soda, or icecream making them a little under $2.

I ended up using these while we were heading on a road trip to see my mother in law we stopped at the store in Lexington, Ky. I had never seen a Kroger so huge before, they even had a diamond store in it..look out walmart!! It took me a little bit to gather all these items since the store was rather large....I managed to hid a few of my coupons through out the store (3 exactly) to leave for a fellow shopper to find. I choose beef sliders, bbq chips, and big k soda. Silly me when I got up to check out I had left my card at home 5 hours away and could not get the phone number I used to work...lucky for me though a very nice man behind me let me use his card. I didn't get the ice cream this trip since I didn't want it to melt in the car while we were driving so when I gave all the coupons to the cashier making everything free...he then gave me .46 cents back lol. I love going to the store and leaving with them owing me! I added the money into the little charity thing they had though at the front desk.

The first thing I tried was the Dr K soda...Now I am a die hard Dr Pepper drinker, so was very very iffy to cheat on my favorite brand with a knock off. I was however surprised it was quite tasty it still had that cherry mix taste that Dr Pepper has with no bad after taste or anything. Considering it is about $3 cheaper then Dr P I would definitely consider purchasing it again.

The next thing we did was heat of the george foreman and throw some sliders on to grill. We got the all beef sliders. Even on the foreman I could see these put almost little to no grease at all which was nice. They cooked up really fast. Now they look a little big when you start cooking but burgers always shrink, even these..so yes they will fit the buns good. We barbequed some of the burgers and put cheese on all of them. These were awesome!!! Everyone kept talking about how good they were. There were 5 of us total eating each of us having 2 burgers a piece after all that we still had literally a half a bag left which was even more awesome since that would mean 2 meals out of one bag.

I choose the bbq flavored chips since we used other sides to feed everyone at dinner these were more or a snack before hand while everyone waited. These chips were really think like the newer pringles....I hate always getting used to these kind but I did and the flavor was a good one. They didn't have any of that weird after or before taste some chips put off. It proved to be a good sized bag as well I think there are actually still some left in there.

Dessert time!!! I got the smores ice cream and it was a party in mouth!! There were chunks of everything in each bite making each bite better than the last. I honestly would have eaten the whole thing myself if I hadn't had some many bums hounding me for a bite lol. I gave all my family member their choice of coupons to try their own.

These items were all free from bzzagent and kroger. Everyone really consider trying the Kroger brand yourself. Name brands don't always offer the best of taste and these items definitely proved it.
