What Is Influenster

Influenster is a free-to-join community of invited trendsetters who live to give opinions of products and experiences. Influenster creates links between brands and members to reward participation and influence future products.

So...what exactly is Influenster? So glad you asked. Here’s a handy definition that would make Merriam-Webster proud:

Basically, Influenster is a place for culture junkies to come together and share their unique opinions of products and experiences. Active members of Influenster get exclusive access to deals, promotions, and swag from brands that thrive off the input (the good, the bad, and the ugly -- they just want to know what's up).

Do I have the chops to be a member?

Probably. Members have an active social life -- both online and offline -- and are always the first to tell friends about the latest discoveries. They want to be the first to know about the products other cool people are loving and hating. Is that you? Awesome, we want you as a member.

What’s involved in a membership?

So wait, is this about getting free stuff?

Nope. If you’re here to mooch, this isn't the place for you. Nobody, no matter how high his or her Influenster Score, is guaranteed rewards. Even if you are offered a reward, you can always opt out. The real benefit of membership is access to exclusive content, product reviews, and discussion within a community of tastemakers. Perks are just the icing on the proverbial cake.

Why is this so fun?

There are many reasons. First and foremost, it's a forum for you and your peers to share your interests and discover what other trendsetters are doing and saying. It's like-minded people coming together to inspire one another and offer advice. Secondly, you’re competing with other members for the highest Influenster Score and Expert Badge scores. Just like a game that you can win, and winning is never not fun.

How did Influenster get started?

It was a dark and stormy night…wait, that’s not right. Influenster was started in 2010 by a team of people just like you: culture and beauty junkies with a whole lot of opinions about everything. We wanted a place to come together to share our opinions and hear what other people like us had to say about products and services. The goal? To learn what other influencers care about and to help brands make products that better serve us. After so many hours of labor, out popped Influenster -- an active community where real people share their experiences and give feedback to improve the products we use and the world we live in (yeah, we went there).

After all, you don't have to be a celebrity to think Diet Coke is bubbly and delicious. Every one of us can be influential in different areas with opinions that matter. As consumers, we want to know what other people like us think about products. Influenster is our answer. We give your opinions a voice and your feedback a direct route to brands and trendsetters.

Green Mountain Coffee

So I just got accepted into a campaign for green mountain coffee free from bzz agent..not sure yet if I will be getting ground coffee or k cups (either is fine). I must admit though I didn't really know much about this coffee or brand until getting invited to try it. It seems to have loads of benefits like being one of the largest fair trade certified organic brewers in the country ( I <3 my organics). I can't wait til it arrives so I can try it out though, so be sure to check back in a few weeks give or take to see how it went :). Finally my bzz kit has arrived it consisted of 12 samples 4 different flavors with 3 of each, a ton of coupons to share, and a booklet to help out with my bzzing.
 




 
Now onto the brand itself Green Mountain Coffee. I used several sites when reading up on this wikepedia was the most helpful I found. I found it amazing that they have over 100 different flavors and all so unique. It is available in both k cups and bags which is really nice because I myself ue the kcups but other people I know who don't own a keurig and enjoy coffee to could experience the same great flavors. I actually used my coupon and got my grandpa a bag of hazelnut fudge coffe and oh emm gee it smelled so good I wanted to eat the package. I really enjoy that I feel I am making a difference when drinking this coffee too. Helping assure farmers get fair priced beans, improving the environment, supporting the community and so many other things, who knew a coffee could do so much.

Nothing Unreal about this

 So I myself being a bzzagent received some vouchers for a product called Unreal candy all items were totally free :). There is no junk in these so I was a little iffy before trying but wooo it was unreal that something that had nothing good in it could taste so good.








 UNREAL is a new brand of natural candy that, according to its new buzz-worthy marketing video, is actually “doctor-approved.” What’s more, it’s actually approved by Dr. Mark Hyman, a doctor who’s devoted to fighting diabetes and obesity (and who we happen to respect and like a lot). According to the brand’s new video (which is practically going viral on Facebook right now, thanks in part to celebrity endorsements and the genius videography of Casey Neistat, who’s pretty much making all of our favorite videos these days), their products are a lot like the candies we all love, but made with natural, sustainably-sourced ingredients. Or, as they would put it, “unjunked.”

Glade Expressions

 



 WOW!! If you haven't tried the new Glade Expressions Collection you are truly missing out. Grab your selected fragrance and let the smell take you away. I received these products from bzzagent completely free to test out so it was really cool because I love smelly good stuff. I was sent a large coupon book with 2 coupons for me to go pick which scent I wanted for free then several other discount coupons to give out. Now I went to Target which made me love this campaign even more because upon giving them the free coupon products they took all the money off of everything else I had at check out (beach towel , peanut butter, school supplies) making my total .97 cents (score). So back to the product now we have a oil diffuser in the dining room next to my parrot who I think now believes he is in the amazon, but it has been there about 3 weeks and still I can smell strong. The other oil diffuser I picked up I sat at my back stair case where people go to smoke which stinks like smoke but not anymore now it smells like a fruit basket. The other items I got besides the oil diffuser were the sprays which are super cute in their little vase like bottles. Another blogger recently took scrapbook stickers and made her bottle look super chic and I have been dying to try her idea so def must do that as well even though the bottles are super cute as they are.

Naturals VoxBox 2012

DISCLOSURE:  As a member of Influenster, I received a set of products to try for free.

It's been awhile since my last VoxBox, but I'm excited to get selected to try the Naturals VoxBox from Influenster.  If you're unfamiliar with the site, it's a community of members who are sent products to try and review.  The more feedback you give, the more you'll be picked to review other products.



 I wasn't familiar with almost any of the brands featured in this year's Naturals VoxBox, so I'm excited to see how these all work.  Included in the box are:

• The Original Dish Drying Mat - This I'm really interested in trying.  We hand wash a lot of our dishes, such as pots and pans and normally dry them on a regular dish towel.  It would be interesting to see how this well this works.
• LypSyl Intense Protection LypMoisturizer - I love lip balm.  I have all sorts of them everywhere!  But I've never tried this brand before.  I hope it works well -- my lips are always dry!
• EBOOST - I've never tried anything like this before.  It's supposed to boost your mood, focus and immunity.  I hope it tastes good and works!  I've been so tired lately and always tend to lose focus in the afternoon.
• CleanWell Individual Hand Sanitizer Wipes - These would've been helpful at the playground earlier today.  My kids touch everything and then want to eat a snack.  This would have worked better than just a quick handwashing with their water bottle!
• GEOGEO - I've never tried natural deodorant and I'm actually kind of scared to see if this works.   It smells really nice, though, so we'll see.
• NECTRESSE - This was the only brand I had heard of.  It's made by Splenda and it's a sweetener made from monk fruit, which I've never heard of before.  I'll have to try it in my coffee.
•  SheaMoisture- says it is good for excema so gonna let my hubby try this one.

 

 ***A few weeks later*****

•  The Original Dish Drying Mat-  love this so so much it absorbs all the water and you can even lift it up and your counter will be completely dry.
•  LypSyl Intense Protection LypMoisturizer- Super cute container but hate how it makes my lips feel waxy unable to move.
• EBOOST- This reminds me a lot of 5 hour power luckily it comes in other flavors as I hated the orange. 
• CleanWell Individual Hand Sanitizer Wipes- After trying this out I actually ordered some it was awesome and smells so much better then the other brands.
• GEOGEO- Best deodorant ever given to anyone smells like a tropical island and it lasts all day.
• NECTRESSE- Saved the day when I discovered I was out of sugar for my coffee. Absolutley wonderful
• SheaMoisture- This was awesome for my hubby his skin is so rough and dry it made him smell nice and soft.
  

Parissa Face & Bikini Wax Strips

These are fantastic for an at home wax especially if you are nervous about heading off to a salon to get your stuff waxed rather it be face or down below. The strips were given out on Influenster for free for girls to try out sadly I wasn't in the select group but lucky me I had tried these before. I love them for less then emergency situations that I can tend to myself and they are super easy.

love this stuff.  With my husband kids by mid afternoon that first morning Coffee energy is gone.  And since I don't want to make a whole pot of coffee for myself I would grab a packet of this Eboost to test out.  With Energy and Immune boosting Products this is great for a stay at home mom.  .  For testing purposes they sent me some packs of the Orange.   Now just a little heads up these are Effervescent which means they will bubble and release gas.  So when you are shaking it up in your water bottle you need to let the pressure out a couple times in the shaking process.

I was sent The Original Dish Drying Mat to review and just as I was told I would, I loved it right after using it.  In fact, since receiving it, I have run to my local Bed, Bath and Beyond and purchased a second one.
