15-minute Curls

Two very important things every lady could use more of.....Time and Money of course. Fat Hair Products are much cheaper than your beauty store brands and work just the same. Using these products and a technique to curl my hair fast I save both time and money.

First things first get your curling iron or wand plugged in and heating up and all your supplies laid out. I used thermal spray and hair spray. You'll also need a brush and pony tail holder.

Next brush all your hair out and flip it into a high ponytail.

Once this is done start grabbing small sections. Spray with thermal spray then curl. Continue with this til all of the ponytail is curled.

Eventually all will be curled the more you do this the faster and easier it will become. It usually takes me around 10 minutes to get done 15 max though.

When all of it is curled use the hair spray to go over all your curls. Afterwards we are going to pull the ponytail out slowly over your curls.

When the ponytail is out go ahead and spray some more hair spray and get all those little fly aways in place. Then that's it fast easy curls :)

I like to move it move it you like to move it move. I like to move it! And I like to feel comfortable while I'm moving it. Playtex Sport does just that, you move and it moves. Think of it as riding a motorcycle all the movements are as one.

I don't really play a lot of sports so I kinda defeat the sports purpose. I am however in med school so up and moving all day. When not there I am at the gym. I can use them all day and not once get a discomforted feeling from them.

   

So not only do they have a 360 protection they also have an odor shield!
    

While this shield isn't as cool as Captain America's shield I must admit at first I didn't think it was cool at all, I was actually kinda scared. You hear all the time about scented products causing infection etc down there. So I was very iffy. The scent its self is very strong outside the box. It was actually the first thing I smelled when I opened the whole voxbox. I gave it a try though and it wasn't so scary after all it's got just the right amount of scent that you need to keep you feeling fresh.

 

Next up..

Pilot Acroball Pure White

   

This pen is incredibly smooth. It was strange at first it looked like it was skipping when I was writing but apparently this was normal when you write it shows up with a type of pattern. I received a yellow one (writes black). The colors are incredibly vibrant. I am in medschool and go through pens lie crazy, this pen however has lasted so long.

   

Red Rose Real Tea Premium Water Enhancers

    

 

Now I hate tea I really do, I can't stomach it at all, so I myself did not taste this. I however have some lovely ladies in class with me who have been passing this stuff around for well over a week.

 

 As you can see quite a few ladies. This bottle has lasted going on 2 weeks now and they have all said it is delicious. Very sweet but not to sweet.

Broadway Impress Nails

    

 Being in college I CANNOT afford to go get my nails done every other week. With Broadways Impress Manicure I don't have too. They have so many designs to choose from and are constantly bringing out new designs.  They are so easy to use just match up with the right size nail, peel, and stick. 

    

These will probably always be my favorite. They always last me well over 2 weeks and are very strong. I am in med school and they last through typing, filing vials, and prepping instruments.

Rimmel London Stay Matte Mousse Foundation

 

  Now I am literally an obsessed freak when it comes to make up. You name it chances are I have either tried it or have some on hand. I was interested in the "mousse" part as many others have tried before and it ends up to lite or way to thick. This took me by surprise, the bottle is much smaller then other foundation bottles yet when I put a pea size on I found it very thick yet when I smoothed it on it was very lite at the same time. I liked it. I wear it all day underneath my mineral powder and I swear it's so lite it's like it's not even there. I would lie a few darker shades out there. I am very tan so it's a little light in color but I fixed that with the powder over top. Other then that another great product by Rimmel.

NYC New York Color Expert Last Lipstick

   

This is by far one of the brightest lipsticks I have ever used. Its is very very pink. Goes on like silk though and last all day. I prefer darker lipsticks so after trying this myself I added it to my daughters make up bag. She is in ballet and does a ton of plays so this is excellent costume make up for her to use so everyone will be able to see it from the stage.

Violet Voxbox

Roses are red. Violets are blue. Have I got a voxbox to share with you.

 

My latest box full of freebies from Influenster was the Violet Voxbox. It was packed full of all kinds of goodies. It included *a bottle of not your mother's dry shampoo *goody athletic headband *dark chocolate cherry soyjoy bar *Montagne Clay Mask *sally hansen triple shine polish * and a goody quik style brush

 

  

First lets talk about the Montagne Jeunesse Clay Mask. It smells great. It may tingle a bit depending on your skin (for me it did) but it is not unbearable. When I took it off my skin felt smoother. It was a nice mask and since my initial use I have bought many more. This was a weird mask though as well it was bamboo paper soaked in the mask and you put the paper itself on your face instead of rubbing the mask on. This took a little getting used to and was a little big for my face. I made it work though and the results were awesome and the cleanup was much faster.

  

Not your mother's dry shampoo. First off if you haven't read up on this company it's a must the names are so cute that they use. This product really came in handy for me when I have a busy week at med school and have been to tired to shower. This is literally so easy to use a 5 year old can do it (mine did). You just spray and brush that's it. Clean hair in just a few minutes no need to pay the water bill tehe (jk).

  

Oh goody...goodies!! First off is the goody athletic headband, these are amazing. It is my new favorite hair accessory. It is so cute that I not only use it for workouts and school it can be worn anywhere. It comes in 3 bright colors pink, blue, and green. It can however be reversed and used as plain black.

These are super soft and stay on your head really nice.

  

Quik Style brush...this only came in certain peoples boxes...I didn't get it in this box but I had one from the mega voxbox so am able to tell you about it. When using it on straight-from-the-shower wet hair, it does seem to absorb some, but I wasn't all that impressed.... until I used it with my blow dryer. Oh my. I couldn't believe how fast my hair dried, and even better, how smooth and straight it was. I have thick, curly hair and have tried many (many!) styling products to eliminate or reduce the need to flat iron, none of which have come close to being as effective as this little gem was. I am amazed.

     

Sally Hansen's Triple Shine nail polish: I love sally hansen products to begin with so I am always so excited when I get new stuff to try out. I received a lime green color which was awesome since that is my favorite color. I used to coats and yes it is very very shiny.

   

The dark chocolate cherry soyjoy bar. I wasn't to thrilled about this. At first I was like, oh sweet I love chocolate covered cherries. It wasn't until I took that bite that I became disappointed. It was very very dried out it reminded me of a hunk of clay :( not the kind of tasty I was hoping for.

How many girl's can tell me that they wouldn't enjoy a day at the spa or a day of pampering and relaxation? If you said "No you wouldn't" then pinch yourself because we all no your lying. I myself wish I could go to the spa everyday but sadly I am not a millionaire and I don't have a sugar daddy so that just doesn't fit the budget. What I can do though is my own fun pampering at home.

I recently received a Montagne Jeunesse Clay Mask from Influenster free in my Violet Voxbox. Now I have used this brand before but, I have never before used this type of mask.

  

The mask is made of bamboo infused fabric which is supposed to be quicken and clean your face better.

Now this took a little getting used to as you can see from the mask above how it will go on. It was at first a little difficult to get on at first I guess because I have a smaller face and these are one size masks. I pulled the edges that were hanging off though up and smoothed them flat against the rest of the mask and it worked. The mask I received was a glacial clay mask and man was it a glacier my whole face felt tingly like it was cold.

      

After about 10-15 minutes when you peel the mask off there is hardly any residue so not as much clean up is required. And your face is left soft and feeling clean and fresh with a pleasant scent. 

The awesome thing about these masks is that they are under $3 and can be found at almost anywhere that sells beauty products. The $3 part is great in my opinion because every girl deserves to be pampered rather it be at a high dollar spa or at home in a bubble bath Montagne Jeunesse makes it possible for anyone to enjoy their own me time.

NYM Clean Freak Shampoo

 

Warning!!! The following products are NOT YOUR MOTHER'S!!

That's right I said not your mother's. These are creative cool and ultra-hip hair products designed for ladies just like you.

 

I received a cute little bottle of NYM Clean Freak dry Shampoo from Influenster in my latest voxbox the Violet Vox box free. 

  

 Now what exactly is a dry shampoo you ask? Well for starters it's a reason to no longer pay your water bill haha....I am just kidding you should still probably pay that.

A dry shampoo is though a shampoo that doesn't require you to have to get in the shower and wash your hair then spend the time rinsing. It's great for people who are on the go or in a hurry. You just spray your hair evenly and well then brush through it. You can watch the spray absorb the oil in your hair and leave with a super refreshed feeling.

 As for me I just colored my hair and some of you may know this from experience, but, it's not a good idea to wash your hair a little while after you just got it colored. so lucky me I had this dry shampoo!

As you can see it is nice and shiny and it smells pretty good too :). Sorry no scratch and sniff included in this blog. The smell is very pleasant though and not over bearing like old lady perfume it's a very fresh clean scent.

They're are plenty of other products to try out besides the dry shampoo if that's not your thing. They have 15 total products one for almost everything. Now I absolutely love the packaging they come in and they would be very hard to miss when shopping since they are sooo colorful. The names are super cute to. Now I don't know about you but my mom is always trying to use my clothes, make up, etc....but lucky me this one says it right on the label "Not your mother's" sorry mama" 

 

NYC New York Color Big Bold Gloss

It's Big, It's Bold, and It's from NewYork? It's the NYC New York Big Bold Gloss. I received it free to try out in my newest voxbox from Influenster the Varsity Voxbox. 

I received a pinkish color but don't let the color in the bottle full you. There wasn't a ton of color to this which I admit I was relieved to discover as I am not much of a pink person. It is more of a nude to peachy color when you get it on but, it is full of shine. I actually started using it over my own lipstick to give it added shine.

 

As you can see in my pic though it doesn't really give you a lot of plumping to your lips AT ALL. It doesn't have that burn your lips huge thing that other brands sometimes cause though either. There's no weird taste to it or gross smell so your lips are safe at staying comfortable. This gloss is extremely smooth as well, I cannot tell you how ofter I find myself sticking to glasses, my husband's lips, of even napkins. I hate when you have lipgloss residue, you will not have that with this.

 

The container is much larger than your average lips sine so you really are getting your money's worth. If you use lips gloss daily like me you know this stuff is like gold in a bottle and the more you have the better.
